Canadian Parks Film Festival

Submissions for the inaugural Canadian Parks Film Festival (CPFF) are now open! The deadline for entries is August 18, 2019.

The Canadian Parks Film Festival will be held October 8th, 5:30PM - 7PM in Quebec City, as part of the Canadian Parks Conference. This is your chance to showcase your film in front of leaders in the outdoor industry in the country and win prizes.

The CPFF is an evening to showcase and celebrate short films that promote people & cultures, organizations, groups and/or communities that highlight the many benefits of parks and protected areas, in particular from the following four perspectives: CONNECT, CONSERVE, COLLABORATE, LEAD. A series of short films will be selected that represent the diversity of Canada, and highlight regions from coast, to coast, to coast.


  • Submissions must be received by August 18, 2019
  • Short films under 20 minutes in length only (if you're film is over 20mins, trailers will be accepted)
  • Any subject that touches on any of the four perspectives: connect, conserve, collaborate, lead
  • Any language will be accepted (with english subtitles)
  • Films from outside Canada will be accepted
  • Films that were already submitted to other festivals, or are currently available to the public are eligible
  • Fill out the form below and provide a LINK to download the film. In the form, please provide a short description of the film and why you think it's fitting for the Canadian Parks Film Festival.
  • Please include your role in the film. If you are submitted on behalf of someone else, but include permission from the producer.
